Taskrabbit coming to London : Launch page #fail
TaskRabbit, the online marketplace that lets people outsource small tasks and errands in return for a fee is coming to London The Next Web reports.
If their UK launch page is anything to go by they need to hire some local talent soon. In the UK it is not a ZIP code and London is not another state on the map!
CityDashboard is an early prototype website created by UCL which aggregates simple spatial data for cities around the UK and displays the data on a dashboard and a map.
It currently mashes together data from the following providers:
- Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
- OpenStreetMap (& Pawel’s Static Maps API)
- British Broadcasting Corporation
- London School of Economics
- Port of London Authority
- Transport for London
- UCL CASA
- ScotRail
Built using APIs from JQuery, OpenLayers and Google.
Comment: The potential for hyper local personalised dashboards featuring news, data, transport, events, offers etc. is pretty exciting and an area I think will see huge growth in the coming months/years.
